Yes, I am Back

Posted On April 13, 2007 11:19 AM By Phil in Misc.

Well, it's been almost a month since I last posted (not including today's other post), but there's been good reasons for it. The past 2 months have been crazy both personally and professionally. I am proud to say that I reached one of my goals for this year: not to rent anymore. So, for the past two months, I have been dealing with all things buying a house and as of the last part of March, I am a homeowner. I am still unpacking, but since it's supposed to be raining for a few days this weekend, I think I should be able to finish unpacking most of the remaining boxes we have. As for work, the finish line is really close for the SAML project I have been working on. The SAML piece is actually done and works fine, but there's some other pieces of functionality that are still being tested before it becomes completed. Since the SAML piece is almost done, I feel confident completing the SAML series I started earlier this year. I will say this much, I couldn't use ColdFusion for everything, I had to use Apache's XML Security Library. After this project is completed, I am most likely going to be working on a Flex project so my other efforts have gone into reading through as many resources as I can on Flex. I have gone through both Total Training's and Lynda.com's training videos so maybe I'll do a comparison post soon on that.
