ASP.NET Resources

Posted On September 18, 2007 6:13 PM By Phil in ASP.NET

So I am about two weeks into my assignment on an ASP.NET project and have found myself continually going back to the same resource over and over again for help learning the language: asp.net. While the website is a little funky to navigate, it has a ton of great, concise tutorials. I have two books, ASP.NET 2.0 Step by Step that I got at CFUnited '06 and Wrox Publishing's Beginning ASP.NET 2.0. I think I would rank the resources as follows:

  1. asp.net
  2. ASP.NET 2.0 Step by Step
  3. Beginning ASP.NET 2.0

I really like the organization of the site, the starter projects that are available, and the fact that the tutorials and videos are available in VB or C#, something most books don't offer. As a beginner in the language, it was really helpful in addressing current needs as well as asking questions of those programmers I am working with why we are architecting things a certain way.
