About Me

My name is Phil Duba and I am a new husband, sports junkie, and software developer. I began my software developer journey almost 8 years ago when my boss at Lockheed Martin handed me Ben Forta's Web Application Construction Kit and said you need to learn how to do this. While ColdFusion is my passion, I am exploring new technologies regularly. Right now, I am concentrating on expanding my OO design skills as it appears that more and more of the technologies I have interest in a built on OO principles and/or allow for OO-like development.

I have lived in the Philadelphia area my whole life. I am a die-hard Flyers fan but I love all Philadelphia sports teams and will watch them over almost everything else, except Navy football (and somehow, I'm being forced to start watching Rutgers football). I currently work for The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia as a Web Applications Engineer in a senior role. Prior to that, I have worked for WinMill Software, Lockheed Martin, and ADP::VirtualEdge. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and a Masters of Science and Engineering in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
